Gilding Flakes

I picked up gilding flakes by Cosmic Shimmer this week and I was dying to try them.  Jennifer McGuire and Julie Ebersole have both had videos showing this product. I used it with Versa Mark and Judi Kins Sticky Stuff. I have always loved the Hero Arts Brushed Frame woodblock stamp so I started with that, when I looked at the result (which I love) I though right away of the OWH Hero Arts Moose. I am from the province of Quebec, we see moose all the time! This is a perfect card for someone that I am thinking about that doesn't live close and this stamp set is one of my favorite Hero Arts sets that I own.

Products: Stamps all Hero Arts
Autumn Leaves gilding flakes
Prettty Pink Posh sequins
Zing coper embossing powder
Lawn Fawn leaf dies on kraft with a few distress inks
Googly eyes

Sister-in-Laws Birthday

I made this one for my Sister-in-Law's birthday... It was jinxed from the get go! My pink Wink of Stella glitter pen leaked all over one of my flowers and I decided in my infinite wisdom... to attempt adding green perfect pearls to some of the leaves, it also leaked! lol  I spent more time trying to cover up mistake on this one but I do like the way it ended up and the errors don't really show. I am also submitting this to this weeks Paper Smooches Sparks Designer Drafts challenge.

Paper Smooches stamps: Reflections and Botanicals
Sentiment is also Paper Smooches
PTI Tag die
Hero Arts Mid-Tone inks
Neena Solar White
Wink of Stella Glitter - Clear, Pink and Green
Enamel dots and Hero Arts gems

Runway Inspired Challenge - Sportmax

I am submitting this one to the Runway Inspired Challenge #66 Sportmax.  Those beautiful bold coloured roses were my inspiration. Too beautiful not to be the inspiration! I recently purchased the Gansi Tambi watercolours, just love them.  I decided to experiment with using an outline rose stamp by My Favorite Things (Blooming Roses). I had never attempted trying to make my own flower but I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things (Birthday Greetings) and the blue panel on the inside was clear embossed with the wood grain stamp from My Favorite Things (Western Backgrounds), although it is impossible to see in the picture.

Thanks for taking the time!

Lawnscapping Challenge 88 - Texture

Had such fun making this one for my soon to be 4 year-old niece.  She is a riot! The card is from both my husband and I, therefore I opted to use these sweet elephants.  The "love you tons" sentiment is on the inside of the balloon card. I am submitting this one to the Lawnscapping Texture Challenge #88

I used the Wendy Vecchi embossing paste with a Tim Holtz stencil (Harlequin) over a background mix of Distress inks and some stamped polka dots (inspired by Kristina Werner)

Lawn Fawn Stamps: Love you Tons, Bannerific, the "happy" is from Hello Baby stamped separately and the "birthday" is from Sophie's sentiments
Lawn Fawn heart die
Silver Lawn Trimmings
